We miss you, Kevin.
It is with the heaviest hearts that we share the sad news that our amazing friend, Kevin Bouvier, passed away on Friday, August 29th at the all-too-young age of 32 due to a hard fought battle with renal cancer. In 2012, our team wore white “K” wrist bands throughout the PMC as Kevin was starting his treatments. Kevin had supported our team since the beginning and it was the least that we could do to show our support for him. Thankfully, Kevin saw us train, raise money, and ride in two more PMCs. He was the pillar of the now famous Honkey Dorey reunion show that netted nearly $1,300 for our team in April. Kevin was one of those guys with such universal appeal that it’s difficult to even put into words what he meant to us.
We are deeply, deeply humbled that donations in his memory are being made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through Bikes Fight Cancer. This is an honor we do not take lightly. Donations can be made on our website, or by check made out to “Pan-Mass Challenge”. Checks may be mailed to Bikes Fight Cancer, PO Box 53, Bondsville, MA 01009.
Thank you Kevin, for so much.
