2014 PMC is this week!
Our annual 7-month journey to raise $26,000 and to train for a 192-mile ride will be met next Saturday and Sunday. We are SO GRATEFUL to each and every one of you for the support. The ride may be difficult at times, but the fundraising is far more of a challenge. We are humbled each year when we think about the support we receive from family and friends as well as the amazing contributions of so many small businesses (see the list below!). We joke around quite a bit, but we couldn’t be more serious when we say THANK YOU.
This may be crazy to ask, but if anyone is interested in seeing us get started on the ride, the Pan-Mass Challenge begins Saturday, August 2nd at 5:30am at the Sturbridge Host Hotel and we’d love to see you there! We know it’s pretty early in the morning , but if you ask anyone who has made it out to the start line, it’s worth setting the alarm clock. Seeing the 3,500+ cyclists that start from Sturbridge take off, hearing the hum of all those tires, and thinking about ALL the money that is raised by everyone participating is mind-boggling. We line up in the front row (of course we do!) and are actually easy to spot. Just be sure to try and get there by 5am because parking is insane and we need time to hi-five you!
For those smart enough to NOT wake up that early, we’ll be posting updates on our facebook page and the PMC will be covered on television by WBZ CBS Boston (Channel 8 for local Comcast subscribers). The Opening Ceremonies will be broadcast live on Friday, August 1st at 7:30pm. We are always camera-ready, so who knows when we might pop up! Set that DVR!
